About Patna University (PATNA-UNIVERSITY)

The history of the Patna University is in a sense the history of modern Bihar. In 1917 half the population of Bihar belonging to the fair sex was deprived of the advantage of higher education. There was not a single girl student in any of the colleges of Bihar, not to speak of any separate institution of higher education for women in the state. The hold of conservatism was so strong on the young men that borders could not be found to reside in the college hostel constructed by the Government in the last quarter of the 19th century. The few young men who came forward to accept the benefit of western education in the Patna College apprehended that they would lose their caste if they resided in the hostel along with other communities. The eminent historian, Jadunath Sarkar, said in his presidential address at the Biharee Students’ Conference held at Darbhanga in 1916, “Bihar has been fifty years behind the other Provinces in taking to English education and must make more strenuous exertion than others to come to the front line and take her legitimate place in the march of national progress”.

PU, PATNA Exam Admit Card / Hall Ticket Download

The Students going to appear for the Patna University examination can get the admit card/Hall Ticket. The authorities are planning to release the admit card on the official website. The contenders can get the admit card from the official website by giving the details like application number and date of birth. The admit card contains all the details like admit card number, exam date, exam time and more details of the Students. The contender needs to carry the admit card while going for the exam. Instructions for Downloading the  Hall Ticket 2019:

• In order to download the Hall Ticket, the Students shall have to log on to the official website of Patna University.
• Here the Students will have to check the Examination Result /Scheme section.
• Once the above mentioned section has been opened, the Students will get the link for downloading the Hall Ticket.
• After clicking on the above mentioned link, the Students will have to enter their Name, Father’s Name, and Program name and then click on submit.
• After submitting, the Students will be able to download the Hall Ticket.

Patna University Admission 2019

Patna University (PU, PATNA) offers MA, M.Sc, M.Com, MSW, M.Ed, LL.M & M.LI.I.Sc courses at Postgraduate level. The minimum eligibility criteria is a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university. Admission to all the courses is granted on the basis of marks in Bachelor’s degree except for MA (PIMR/ Rural Studies) for which the Students have to appear in CAT/ JMET/ MAT or ATMA followed by GD and PI. For M.Ed and LL.M courses, Patna University conducts MEET and MLET tests followed by an Interview. The application fee for these courses is INR 1500.

The minimum eligibility criteria for MBA and MCA courses is graduation from a recognized university. MVCA Students must have studied Mathematics as one of the main subjects at 12th (10+2) or Graduation level. MCA admission is merit-based while MBA admission is done on the basis of a valid score in CAT/ MAT/ JMET or ATMA followed by GD.

At Undergraduate level, Patna University offers BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BFA, BBA, BSW, LL.B & B.Ed courses in various specializations. 12th (10+2) in the relevant subject group is the minimum eligibility criteria for admission. Students have to qualify in Patna University Common Entrance Test (PUCET) to secure admission in these programs. For B.Ed and LL.B programs, the university conducts BEET and BLET exams respectively. The application fee is INR 1500 for these courses.

Online Exam Form of PU, PATNA

The Patna University application form will be available from the month of May. The deadline for submitting form is July. A Student who wants to apply for Patna University admission has to fill all details and submit it before the due dates. The application will be canceled if submitted after the due dates. Students are advised before filling application read all details carefully. After filling form upload your passport size photo.
